Build: Attuned Pyromancer

I have so many builds to put up here that I’m finding it difficult to pace myself. But be that as it may, I’m still going to try and space it out a little so I have something left by the time people are reading this.

This build is a fairly standard fire magic nuker, except for one major piece. It uses Attuned Was Songkai to basically give itself Expertise for all of it’s spells. Combine that with Fire Attunement and most of your spells won’t cost you anything at all. Here’s the breakdown:

10 Energy Cost – 47% = 5 – 30% – 1 = 3
15 Energy Cost – 47% = 8 – 30% – 1 = 5

So you’ll be spamming things like Immolate and Searing Heat for less than it costs to use Flare. This build is appropriate for any kind of PvP, but is probably most effective in Alliance Battles or Jade Quarry. It is also very good for general PvE. If you’re going to use it in something like Random Arena, you should switch Searing Heat or Teinai’s Heat for Resurrection Signet or Death Pact Signet.

This concept works for any element, just use the appropriate attribute and attunement spell.

Usage:
Always cast Glyph of Swiftness before you use Attuned Was Songkai, otherwise you can’t keep it up permanently. That’s really the only complex piece of the build, just maintain Attuned Was Songkai and Fire Attunement and nuke to your hearts content!

Items:
You can pretty much tailor it to what you prefer. You have to have a Spawning Power head piece with a Minor Spawning Power rune in it, but other than that it’s pretty much open.

You would most likely want to use a mix of Radiant Insignias, Survivor Insignias, Runes of Attunement and a Rune of Vigor/Runes of Vitae. Keep in mind that you won’t need as much energy for this build as you would for a normal Elementalist. For weapons I would probably just go with a 40/40 Fire Magic set.

For 15 seconds, your next 1..3 Spells recharge 25% faster, and projectiles from those spells move 200% faster.

Hold Songkai’s ashes for up to 45 seconds. While you hold her ashes, your Spells and Binding Rituals cost -53% of the base Energy to cast.

- Immolate (Fire Magic)
Target foe is struck for 64 fire damage and is set on fire for 3 second(s).
Energy:10 Cast:1 Recharge:3

- Liquid Flame (Fire Magic)
Target foe is struck for 91 fire damage. If that foe is attacking or casting a Spell, nearby foes are also struck for 91 fire damage.
Energy:10 Cast:1 Recharge:15

- Smoldering Embers (Fire Magic)
Target foe is struck for 91 fire damage. After 3 seconds, if target foe is not moving that foe is set on fire for 3 seconds.

- Searing Heat (Fire Magic)
Cause Searing Heat at target foe’s location. For 5 seconds, foes near this location are struck for 34 fire damage each second. When Searing Heat ends, enemies in the area of effect are set on fire for 3 seconds.

- Teinai’s Heat (Fire Magic)
Create Teinai’s Heat at target foe’s location. For 5 seconds, foes near this location are struck for 34 fire damage each second. When Teinai’s Heat ends, foes in the area of effect are set on fire for 3 seconds.

- Fire Attunement (Fire Magic)
For 55 seconds, you are attuned to Fire. You gain 1 Energy plus 30% of the base Energy cost of the Skill each time you use Fire Magic.
